Dr. Howard Knohl
Dr. Howard Knohl is a retired radiologist and president of the Board of the Anaheim Performing Arts Center Foundation.
Dr. Knohl began his career in 1958 as a research chemist with Forest D. Snell. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his internship and residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn. In 1967, he joined the army and served as a Triage Officer at the 12th Evacuation Hospital at Cu Chi in Vietnam.
When he returned to the United States in 1969, he settled in California with his wife and joined the Humana Group, a hospital network in Los Angeles and Orange County, as their interventional radiologist. In 1974, he became the Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Humana Hospital Westminster. In the 1980s, he was promoted to Chief of Staff and made a member of the Board of Trustees. He also chaired radiology departments in San Diego, Westminster, Brea, Los Angeles, and Sacramento as well.
After retiring in 2015, Dr. Knohl joined the APAC Foundation. In recognition of his work, dedication, and leadership, he was voted Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2017.
