Joe P. Moore, Jr
Joe P. Moore Jr. is a financial planner and investment advisor who has spent his career in Southern California, helping clients plan their retirement and financial legacy.
Before joining the board of the Anaheim Performing Arts Center, Joe spent thirty years developing and managing several large insurance and investment firms in southern California that provided sophisticated personal and professional financial planning advice, products and services. By the time he retired, he was managing over $1.1 billion dollars in personal, corporate, and retirement assets.
In addition, Joe is a certificated teacher with a lifetime credential from the State of California. He provides financial education for his clients and the general public through Financial Management Specialists, a consulting firm that organizes investment and retirement workshops through local universities, adult schools and governmental agencies. He is also an Adjunct Professor for the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado, where he teaches continuing education courses in financial, estate, and business continuity planning for insurance and accounting professionals.
Joe has served on the executive board of directors for the Los Angeles and Orange County Life Underwriters and the Orange County General Agents and Managers Conference. He’s active in civic and philanthropic organizations, including the Whittier College Alumni Association, Whittier-la Mirada Musical Theater, the Shannon Center for the Performing Arts, and the Board of Trustees for Musical Theater West, one of the oldest non-profit musical theatre production companies in the western United States.
Joe has lived with his wife, Edna, a retired school principal, and their children in California for over 40 years.
