Linda Barnett

Linda Barnett retired from 39 years of teaching in the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) 12 years ago. She has been a resident of Anaheim for 15 years. She is devoted to the City and donates her time to making the city the best it can be. In addition to being on the APACF Board, she is currently serving on the Anaheim Community Service Board.

Linda received her BA and teaching credential from California State University Long Beach, majoring in history with a minor in English, in 1968. She received her Master's degree from United States International University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 1991 after serving in the Peace Corps in Morocco from 1986-1988.

The last four years in the AUHSD, Linda served as President of the local teacher's union, ASTA, an affiliate of the California Teachers Association. For 35 years she did her best for students and for four years she did her best for teachers.

Linda began her affiliation with APACF 10 years ago, attending the fundraising events and eventually becoming a member of the advisory council. At the end of 2018 she was asked to join the Board of Directors and is now serving as its treasurer.
